Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE:CW) was formed in 1929 through the merger of Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company and Wright Aeronautical Corporation and their holdings of more than a dozen separate companies. The corporation’s common stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange as “CW” in 1929 where it continues to be traded today.
